About us and why the name Equinox...
The spring and fall equinox is the time of year when night and day are equal in length.
The moon represents yin energy. Yin in balance is accepting, at peace, sensitive, emotionally intelligent and reflective. Too much yin is expressed as weakness, low self esteem, lack of confidence, confusion, hopelessness and stagnation.
The sun represents yang energy. Yang is goal oriented, logical, practical and active. Too much yang is expressed when people are unable to relax. They are rigid, anxious, overly competitive, overly confident, judgmental or critical.
The ancient wisdom teachers understood the importance of accepting duality in life. Yin and yang are to be thought of as complementary instead of opposing forces. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
At Equinox healing Arts our practitioners will support you in finding the balance you need to feel both energized and at peace. Our wish is to nurture your whole being.
